Chrysalis (Complete)

Chrysalis is a suspenseful horror game in which there are minimal graphics. The text and sounds are your only guides to complete the game. You are placed in a mansion that is haunted by a spirit which follows you around. She moves very slowly, but you don’t know where she is until she is very close to you. Numerous objects are scattered around the room and each one will make a sound upon interacting with it (it is recommended that you listen to this game at a low volume). This is the primary way that you will know where you are in the room and which way to go. When you are close to Chrysalis, your warning will appear by means of cryptic text and a single red flash indicating her direction. This means that you are within 5 steps of her, and you have limited time to escape before she catches you. As of right now, when you die, you are simply taken back to the title screen. This may change in the future.

There are three floors total. Each one gets progressively harder to avoid obstacles, as more of them appear with each floor in more inconvenient places. Chrysalis will always approach you at the same speed, however. She makes no sound. You have won the game when you reach the first floor and exit the mansion.

In order to add replay value, there are three different places on each floor that you can start at. Some of them will make things easier for you, but with others, there is a trade off.
